New Weekly Events Calendar for Autumn 2009

Wood-Ridge Memorial Library starts their new fall weekly programming schedule on Tuesday, September 15th! They will be offering a new Fall Storytime Series on Wednesday evenings from 7pm-7:45pm for children, ages 5-10. Each week children will enjoy a different theme, such as Goblins and Ghosts, Animal Adventures, and Thanksgiving. This is an eight-week program. Please register for the Fall Storytime Series by September 15th by contacting the Youth Services Librarian at christina.park@bccls.org with children’s names, ages, and a contact phone number.

Playtime for Young Children, ages 6mo.-4yrs, will continue with weekly sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays. Both sessions are currently almost full, but interested parents can contact the Youth Services Librarian at christina.park@bccls.org to see if a spot is available. Parents must register for this program by emailing their name, child's name, phone number, and preference in session day before attending.

For students, grades 4-9, there will be an open Student Homework and Computer Lab after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Students can work on school projects and study in a casual environment. Computers are available for students to work online and are also equipped with Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel programs. Students are welcome to bring their own flash drive to save their files on, or they can email their work to their online email address to download at home. Both computers have printers, and printing in black and white is free. However there are extra charges for color printing and the library’s printing paper, therefore students are encouraged to bring their own printing paper or use recycled paper from the library. No registration is necessary for this program.
