Wood-Ridge Memorial Library will be hosting several special events for the month of December.

On Wednesday, December 17th, a Christmas holiday music concert will be performed by The Don Carter Trio in the YA Room between 6-8pm. Recording artist Don Carter has worked with Jazz celebrities such as Lionel Hampton, Dizzy Gillespie, Ron Carter and Larry Young. He is an educator and a college professor of music and has done major concerts for TV and radio.  This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Sign-up registration is required.

On Saturday, December 20th, a Sculpey Workshop will be given in the Children's Room for children ages 5-10. The workshop is from 10:30am to 11:30am and will be taught by Priya Swaminathan. This Sculpey class will give children a chance to make small “sculptures” of animals out of colorful clay that will then be baked hard. Children often use the workshop to make their own holiday gifts.  This event is limited to Wood-Ridge residents and has only 12 spots available. A two-dollar donation is suggested. Sign-up registration is required.

On Tuesday, December 23rd, Santa’s Storytime will be held in the Children's Room from 6pm to 6:45pm. Come and see Santa Clause in the Children’s Room and enjoy listening as he reads classic Christmas stories. Children will get to take turns sitting with Santa and sharing their gift wish list with him. No registration is required. Refreshments will be available.
