Friends of Wood-Ridge Memorial Library Thank Volunteers

The Friends of the Wood-Ridge Memorial Library held a very successful book sale on Saturday, October 3rd at the Wood-Ridge Senior Center.

A few weeks ago the Friends sent out a message for physical help.  The residents of Wood-Ridge answered the call.  The Friends would like to thank the following persons for their help:  Val Cardinale, Forrest Elliot, Glenn and Julia Nunez, Joe Azzolina, Gene and Joseph O’Brien, Ed Pfeifer, Priscilla Hipkins, Eileen Martin, Mary and Jeff Kovacs, John Cogelia, and Dan Grattagliano.

The Friends next book sale will be in February 2010, and they are hoping for the same cooperation that they had in this month’s sale.

Friends of Wood-Ridge Memorial Library Selling Library Note Cards

Years ago as a fundraiser the Friends of Wood-Ridge Memorial Library had note cards designed that depicted the historic Library. They were very popular, and there has been a recent surge of interest in the history of the Library building.

The Friends now have for sale newly designed note cards with an updated picture of the Library. The Library is selling these cards on behalf of the Friends at the Front Desk of the Library. Each pack is only $5 with five cards and envelopes to a pack.

Please come and support the Friends in their work that benefits the programs and collections at the Library and impress your family and friends with your good taste in stationery.
